I may be in the minority when I admit that I did not like this book.
The first half unfolded in slow motion. Then a horribly cliché romance and manipulative plot twist served as the transition from Part One to Part Two. The pace of page turning picked up here but there was still something about the characters’ motivations that caused me to roll my eyes more than once.
Call me baffled that this book has such great ratings on Goodreads and Amazon. If you enjoyed it, I’d love to hear why.
Best paired with a Prince of Wales cocktail.
